Abraham Assuied was born in 1950 in Beer Sheba (Israel) where his parents emigrated in 1948 from Tunisia.

They settled in Paris in 1953 where his father had work as a musician. All through his schooling, Abraham was considered as exceptionally gifted and finished school two years ahead of the others.

In 1973, Abraham goes back to Israel and enrols in the army where he does his military time during the Kippur war. The Israeli army orders him his first paintings. The success of that large fresco and others subsequent orders lead him to a lifetime career in art.

After the war, he goes back to Paris where he follows up courses at the Sorbonne, l’Ecole des Beaux Arts where his training is focused around creative arts.

He has had exhibitions at the Gallery Drouot and collective exhibitions in Paris. His work is represented in various collections in Paris, Israel and New-York. He worked for leading industrial clients and created important displays for leading privately owned hotels in Paris. Abraham has also created monotypes and lithographic editions

Abraham Assuied is the author of a style where the colour, the essence and the expression comes from his Judeo-Arab background familiar to the occidental.

He currently lives in Israel  with his wife and family.
